Received Patents from the Austrian / German Patent office

  1. Increasing the efficiency of combustion processes by flue gas condensation with the coupling of sensitive and latent flue gas heat in the district heating return preferably by absorption heat pump or by compression heat pump with drive by a combustion engine
  2. Increasing the efficiency of steam power processes by using hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers and partially halogenated hydrocarbons (ORC) with the preheating of the ORC medium by industrial low - temperature waste heat, using the steam of a steam turbine in the saturated steam range to evaporate the ORC medium and use in a turbine tuned to the ORC medium for electricity generation.
  3. Increasing the efficiency of steam power processes in the open circuit with the application of SCIROCCO TOWER for generating energy and drinking water in coastal desert areas
  4. Increasing the efficiency of gas turbines (thermocompression) for the recovery of the condensation heat of humid gas streams to generate steam and heating heat at technically utilizable level, as well as high efficiency electrical power. The degree of utilization depending on the moisture content in the intake stream reach up to more than 150% measured on primary energy use
  5. Increasing the efficiency of gas turbines
  6. Increasing the efficiency of reciprocating engines to about 65% abs. in 2 completely different ways (1 base Miller process, 1 base downstream hot gas process)
  7. Cellular wheel motor / compressor especially for wood chips and solar energy with efficiencies up to approx. 70% electricity.
  8. Hot air engine especially for wood chips and solar energy
  9. Increasing the efficiency of hot gas processes up to more than 70% abs. by using mediums with small spec. heat capacity in the lower temperature range (compression) and higher values in the higher temperature range (expansion)

Best energy use and highest efficiencies are my concept

Planning of green power plants with cellular wheel motor

The cellular wheel motor is based on a multi-plate compressor and will be used in the projects both as compressor and expander. The process used, essentially corresponds to a Joule process with further thermodynamically advantageous measures, which with medium air at an expander inlet temperature of about 850° C and a pressure of 7 bar abs. achieved an efficiency of approx. 45 to 55%. Depending on the power, the wood chips are combusted in a pre furnace or rotary kiln or fluidized bed furnace, the resulting heat is introduced via a high-temperature heat exchanger at about 850° C into the working gas. The power range more than approx. 1 MWel. will be better covered by means of gas turbines tailored to the respective medium.

A very important aspect will be, that there could be used other gases than air as working gas medium, which are sometimes achieved significantly better efficiencies than air. Here, however, a closed circuit is used and efficiencies of up to 70% are achieved (thermodynamically proven, order the calculations). For comparison, the state of the art at wood gasification and gas engine is about 25 to 30%, in a plant with steam power process at about 20 to 25%. Of cause the subject process depends crucially on the temperature, the measures are essentially already considered with medium air, leading to an increase to approx. plus / minus 65%. With these processes, the additive use of solar energy is possible, where efficiencies depending on the working gas medium in the range of up to 75% - based on the amount of chip mass - are possible
